Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only work with Christian clients?
No. While I specialize in working with clients who value a Christian perspective, I welcome anyone who feels comfortable with my approach. You decide how much (or how little) spiritual integration is part of your sessions.

Are you a pastor or church representative?
No. I’m a licensed mental health professional, not a pastor or clergy member. My role is to provide professional counseling that can include faith-based encouragement when it supports your needs.

What types of concerns do you help with?
I provide counseling for grief, anxiety, depression, marriage and divorce struggles, family challenges, and major life transitions. Sessions are tailored to your unique goals and values.

How does faith show up in sessions?
That’s up to you. For some clients, we integrate scripture, prayer, or faith-based reflection. For others, sessions focus primarily on evidence-based therapy, with faith as a gentle foundation when helpful.

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer convenient tele-health counseling for clients across North Carolina, so you can access support from the comfort of your home.

What makes your practice unique?
The Harvest Joy Practice utilizes a holistic approach. It combines professional psychotherapy with the encouragement of Christian faith, creating a space that honors both clinical expertise and spiritual growth.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, United Healthcare, and Aetna. Coverage and benefits depend on your specific plan.
